High voltage antispark plugs.

those connectors are fucking huuuuuge. damn.

It happens right at the contact to the anti spark connection before pushing all the way in. I think. Have to think about it next time plug in

@longhairedboy you need some. 10$ each. N 5$ for shipping. Especially with the custom 15ohm antispark a good deal.

I got another batch of these 15ohm QS8 plugs. For sale.

I don’t think I need or want them but adding some measurements for the size of them would likely help sell them or not sell them for people who realize they’re too damn big  If they were standard xt90s with black plastic I’d be interested but I don’t need what those large ones offer.

Also It is too late anyway because an xt90 is already epoxied into my case and I can’t be bothered to remove it anytime soon

Bigger plugs feel better. Better conductance. durability.

Was just reading how the xt90s has like 1/3 of its surface dedicated to the antispark connection so it’s not really capable of 90 amps continuous. Maybe like 60.

If you a running a build with higher voltages and currents then I’d agree with using this chonky connectors.

Just for me I have no use for them. :person_shrugging: I am smol and don’t need a ton of power to get the performance I want. Currently I have only a 12s3p battery build and then a 10s5p build

Also my loopkey is a standard xt90 since it is for a focbox that has a working antispark circuit. Which I think has more surface areas compared the the anti spark version based on what other people have said about them.? Regardless, the xt90 is still a bit over kill on my build as is, but the standard is to use them for loopkeys so I used it (but also I didn’t have enough extra good xt60 connectors to use for it anyway but I did have an unused xt90 on hand)

Either of these would have my 12s battery drained in less than an hour :weary:

Then your loopkey serves no function. It needs to be a xt90s (on one of the sides) for it to work. Is your other end at least the xt90s?

Useless or just a means of powering on and off?

If that’s the intended purpose, then sure.

@zero_ads hit the nail on the head.

It is only there to turn it off because for some reason vesc tool + the newer firmware on my focbox resulted in the power button being unable to turn the unit off. It would turn off but then back on immediately. Worked fine for powering it on though.

So I added the loop key purely to turn it off. It isn’t being used as an antispark measure, but if I ever need that I will make and use an xt90s female side
