Thanks Tim, I will have to do a little more research on that. I am familiar with setting motor currents and the ABS overcurrent. Braking… understood.
When it comes to millisecond times and percentage curves, that I don’t know.
My motor has 14 pole pairs for that Flipsky 7384, I know that. Looks like I have a little reading to do. Thank you for all of your input!
When I have had similar issues I just downgraded my vesc back to older program and it worked like a champ again.
So… I ran in to something similar running a newer version of VESC.
I personally don’t think it’s an issue with the new VESC version, but extra features that change when updating the version.
If it doesn’t work, try swapping the TX/RX pins on the connector. Just use a blade to lift the plastic so the pin can release.
- Make sure the VESC are on different ID’s
- APP Settings > General
- Primary VESC set “APP to Use” as UART
- Second VESC set “APP to Use” as No App
- Set “Pairing Done” and “Enable Permanent UART” to True
- Enable the Can Message Rate Status
As soon as I made these changes, both motors worked.
