Hi I accidentally wired my first bms the wrong way I got the same one from another supplier but it looks a bit different it’s the D140
From Litech
Just wanting a little advice on the diagram as it looks a tad confusing.
The P connects to charger Negative and the B- connects to battery negative with the B1 if I’m not mistaken. Could someone with experience please confirm this before I solder and plug it all in. And I was informed 1 through to 12 starts at the negative end to the positive end to connect the balance leads. I had these the other way which I believe caused my first bms to blow.
yes this is a charge only bms. Using an 8 amp charger, it can handle 15 amp in/out so I’m bypassing for battery. I don’t intend on dropping below 30-40% so I will always be safe
Ok for 13pins the first balance wire is B- (=first cell negative) and the second wire the positive of cell1 and so on up to cell 12. I recommend to unplug the wires from BMS and after soldering to measure with a multimeter before connecting again.
i have B- on PCB and as a balance wire, do i connect both B- wires to the battery Negative terminal, this is the part i got a little confused with. then its 1 through to 12 going backwards from the negative terminal correct? (COnnecting to the possitive terminals for the balance wires)
the P wire goes to Charger Negative
the charger positive goes to cell 12 (Possitive terminal on the battery with the charge wire if im not mistaken)
Ah thanks, yes this is why i blew the first one, i had it wired in the reverse order for the positive terminals.
this is the one that gets me. there is a B- on the pad but im not 100% sure where this one connects to. i assumed this also connects to the B- on the battery with the smaller B- connection on the balance wires?
so what i had thought was this B- on the pad and B- on the balance wire both conenct to battery negative,
then the P connects to the Charger Negative. the Charge + connects to the last Balance Wire, but this doesnt seem right as the charge would all carryu through the first terminal. but looking over the diagram this looks to be the case?
