Help needed - Unexplained throttle “blip”

Asking for a friend of mine who has been having issues and I haven’t been able to figure it out.

He says that when he is cruising (specifically constant speed around 13-15) his throttle almost seems to jolt a bit. Claimed it was similar to a hard shift in a car or something a meepo would do when trying to maintain speed. We checked ride logs and there were no errors when this happened.

We have checked ramp time, remote connection, error timeout time, sensor settings, replaced the potentiometer in the remote, etc. still can’t figure out what is doing this.

He is running a Dv4s at 12s. Using a vx4 (not pro) with the good firmware on UART. Using meepo hurricane motors sensorless/hfi. BMS bypassed for discharge.

Any help yall can give would be much appreciated.

Battery/age? Gear ratio/wheel size? Pictures of board internals?
Is the problem easily reproducible? Under what conditions?

Has your friend ever fallen with the remote? Ive had similar behaviour with a vx1 after a fall. In my case it was probably a loose connection somewhere, but im lazy and just bought a new one

Basically new battery. I can see if I can get pics.

Yeah he actually fell in December and did some upgrades right after. Just started riding again recently.

Idk if the VX4 still shows you a throttle visualization on the screen, but see if it jumps around. The pots were notorious for going bad and becoming impercise, jumping around

It didn’t jump around. I also replaced the potentiometer just in case.

What was the fault stop time set to? And was there a fault? Did he have telemetry?

Tried re-detecting motors? Does it behave the same way on the bench? (i.e. not under load)

It can’t really be noticed on the bench cause it’s not super major. No faults in the ride log. Fault time was 70ms

I’d re-solder all phase wires, redo motor detection, and test. Otherwise, replace remote
