Help needed rebuilding HyperIon battery

Looking for an experienced battery builder to help rebuild my battery purchased from Cory at @hyperion1 back in 2019. The battery I received never read a correct voltage and would randomly fluctuate. It’s a 10s4p Samsung 30Q pack. The last time I spoke with Cory he’d mentioned that the BMS he’d installed was faulty. I sent it back to him once for servicing and it came back in the same condition I’d sent it from initially. Since then I decided to put this battery back on my shelf. I’d mostly stopped checking this forum until now. I’ve taken it out from time to time to give it another try, but obviously there’s been no change.

I’m not an experienced battery builder, I don’t have battery building equipment or a good work place to tinker with this battery. I would also not feel safe in trying to open and troubleshoot this myself. I’m willing to pay someone I can ship this battery to and repair anything that needs to be fixed. Anyone?

So uh… this has been sitting for over two years?

Are you able to take a voltage measurement of it at least?

@ShutterShock Again, I said I’ve taken it out and used it from time to time. But not heavily

Lmao I am in the same exact boat as you my friend. Need a battery builder to replace my shitty d140 bms that @hyperion1 installed on my 10s5p pack. P group may be dead. Voltage drops like 2V when off the charger. Was just coming here to make a post. I don’t trust myself to unwrap a battery.

I mean, unsuccessfully, so it’s essentially been sitting.

Probably, and it’s probably because of a poor spot weld

Sure thing but my d140 got hot enough while balancing to melt through the shrink wrap and surrounding foam.

Lol, same thing with me.

Damn thing must be draining cells like a hot damn. If only it could accurately balance with that speed.

I bought an LTT and will be tearing it apart after the next d.i.r.t. games trick is done.

Anyways

I hope you find a builder who can help you.

It would also be good to either fill out your location on your profile, so it appears when people click on your name/picture, or leave it in the thread somewhere. Chances are, transporting this yourself in a car is the safest way to get it from A to B :man_shrugging:t2:
