switched out to dual focbox - unity was acting weird with lofty DDs.
i noticed while programming, one of the focbox was warm to the touch even though it was basically idle.
kind of concerned because the other focbox is not warm.
is this a sign of an impending failure?
Wonder if it’s a CAN master/slave thing. Warm one is the master?

You said the Unity was acting weird. Maybe it’s one of the DD motors. Swap sides and see if the hot ESC changes
You are correct that the ESC should not be producing any sort of noticeable heat under no load.
Which part is getting hot? If it’s the MCU, then it needs repair for sure.
