to be fair to flipsky, that is wayyy more than they recommend. I’m assuming this was on 12s?
Yes 12s. The whine was straight out of the box new so that was annoying. The slipping magnets I can’t blame them for, you’re right.

Ive managed to silence them, all be it with a hefty trade off… ive changed the motor pulley from 12 to 16 and that puts the rpm harmonic beyond my cruising speed but losing the torque and braking of the 12t. Im going to see if i can make a 14t pulley work as a middle ground and see where it ends up. They are being refreshingly quiet all the way up to cruising speed atm tho, just dont think i can live with 16t… gots to have that punch down low
