Surely it completely depends on your weight/riding style/intentions for use? Better to do your own thing than ask others for what they like!
I’ve only ridden the first gen one, but the red one has a more aggressive camber. But other than that they are pretty close together.
Stiff decks - so you don’t bounce/bottom out
well, I won’t have the chance to try one until I buy it, so it’s a difficult one, plus I never used an mtb before,
want to go offroad,
I’m 70kg
If u wanna jump etc then go for the stiffer one.
Check their website, you can message them and ask about riding style and what they prefer!
You are missing the, new @ApexBoards bro deck in your poll.
I‘d go with stiff flex. Still has a good amount of flex in it. Perfect for riding off-road without getting wobbles from a trampoline deck.
isn’t it the same as the regular one ?
I think yes, like the „red“ Bro, just different graphics and you get the 3x inserts in the middle, which can be handy if you plan to top mount the battery.
I‘d go with the one you like graphic wise better.
Oh and Apex sells only stiff as far as I know.
Might help, that’s the amount of flex jumping of a small curb with a stiff flex deck. I‘m ~85kg there.
oh, that’s pretty cool,
I wasn’t even thinking about jumping, more about long ride through the wilderness ^^"
the red one and the new apex one both looks super sexy to me, @ApexBoards website has some hard to swallow international shipping though while I got a much lower quote from Haero
The inserts are a nice plus, and the fact they also sell tires and stuff could make the balance point to their side though
Yeah shipping with DHL express can be expensive but if you want a few bits send us an email to support@electricskateboarding.co.uk and we can sort out some slower/cheaper shipping for you for sure dude
As for flex, in my opinion don’t bother with the medium, stiff only! We sell eMTB’s to people with a wide range of weights and all of them get a “stiff deck” there’s still plenty of flex in the stiff and when you mount all the crap we do to them it changes the dynamics of it anyways.
Check my small comparisin Haero new stiff and MBS 97 pro. Haero stiff is great deck. Still not so stiff like MBS 97. Due to some helthy issues i had 72kg when i bought it, now Iam 80kg and closer to my normal weight around 85kg. And for my personaly , it can be stiffer ![]()
FWIW I like my medium flexy one, I’m about 75kg
thanks, I need to check my budget again and then I’ll contact you, if not today maybe next month ^^’
paycheck tend to disappear quickly in this hobby, but I’ll definitly have a an MTB build happening soon
Well, if you are building an eMTB we can supply a lot of bits and bobs and we have some combo deals on offer for the Jump Drive/Chain Drive and motors etc. When you know more give us a shout and we will see what we can do ![]()
But you are also… special ![]()
Mmmm riight…
But the flex is nice, I don’t think I’d want it more stiff, I feel like it would be uncomfortable, this is also my only mtb
now this is the kind of things that make me doubt,
I know that I am a fond of felxy deck while other aren’t, but I have no idea how it feels on dirt roads
It’s definitely not suuuuper flexy, but I found that the flex can give me some punch for jumping too, and I have also gone up to 37 on it without any issues
For someone similar weight to me I would think you’d like it, just my 2c tho
