Going to convert Hadean to VESC. First time builder/modifier. Not sure which VESC. Looking at MakerX dv4s, MakerX dv6s, Flipsky fsesc4. 2, Flipsky fsesc6. 7 pro. Any suggestions? Advice? Thanks

Cant go wrong with MakerX’s DV4s or DV6s. Unless ur budget absolutely necessitates it, stay far away from anything Flipsky

I recently converted my Hadean to DIY after the ESC and remote died in 140 miles.
can help you a lot but to consider in advance:
12S4P won’t fit with the BMS and makerX- tried everything and finished with 12S3P. Evolve did it as a multi layer of PCB *
You can use the original motors, you will just need to map the thin cables and identify the sensors with multimeter
You can’t use the charger- I heard people connecting resistor to bypass the signal needed but never tried myself.
You can’t use the LED, they designed them for 50V
Thanks Guy. I was thinking of keeping the 12s4p and adding a home made “module” on to the battery/esc moulding.
Basically, going to bypass the Evolve BMS and remove the BMS PCB (I think it is damaged anyway, it’s not working at all, and pretty sure most of the Mosfets are damaged), as well as the ESC pcb (i think the esc pcb might still be ok just not receiving power from the BMS) and the LED board (not particularly concerned with the LEDs). With those parts removed and some moulding removed I think I can just fit the MakerX. And just put the Bluetooth module and fuse and new BMS in the new compartment.
Did you use Dv4s or DV6s?

DV4s is good if you want to start out cheap. It’ll have way more power than stock, but that can reduce your range since your battery is outputting more.
The best option is to replace the ESC and the battery!
The best option is not to buy Evolve next time

I had to CNC the ESC heatsink on the Hadean deck to remove the PCB mounts in order to save space. hope you will be able to make what you want.
Adding a picture ot the original Evolve battery, and the Hadean with the maker X
as you can see the makerX is located where there is a stack of the battery PCB, BMS, and Evolve ESC.
it mean that the Maker X will collide with the battery PCB when you try to close it.
