Perhaps you could try out the ackmaniac firmware? People seem to like it and rated it the most stable in the discussion poll. You won’t be able to use new features such as HFI with that firmware though.
I can yes, but the only real reason I updated the firmware was for trying HFI on both motors.
Enclosure upgrade, really like this drybox it looks pretty sexy IMO compared to the normal peli kind cases. Took me a while to find one I liked, glad I got something
Still looking at what orientation to choose
ORIENTATION NR 1.
ORIENTATION NR 2.

You suck. Your poll is reversed on Instagram.
It’s either really smart or you suck.
You suck.
Pictures are merely ordered differently, numbers stay the same for each orientation
I had the same dilemma. I went with option 2 on mine, but reckon yours looks better in option 1.
What case is that? I like it!
I’m gonna look at the foot clearance tonight to make a decision, but I like the looks of option 1 better.
I really like it aswell! its very good quality, feels and looks premium. It the Oakley Strongbox, they are not easy to find and mostly overpriced but I found one in a optics store where they sell oakley sunglasses aswell. I think it can even fit a 18650 12s8p setup (considering a seperated rear vesc enclosure).
I like it. Looks “aggressively” cool. Great for the Grizzly
Also got some new babies
Man the weight of the board is awesome now
Maybe in the future some ultra light low profile and efficient batteries might make this achievable
Crossbows, hockey mask, highly-capable off road vehicle. Let the human hunt begin.
Skatan’s executioner
Grizzly is reborn
A real executioner now.
Can already feel the difference in power with the new motors!! https://youtu.be/4STBXNrdtsc
DUMP OF BUILD STEPS
Enclosure modding
GEARMESH new motors
Had an idea to use a simple 3D printed bracket to set the perfect gearmesh. The axial distances are determined by the pitches of the gears so should provide a perfect mesh. I used an aluminium tube to insert into the pinion bore. I actually used this method to set the mesh but the backlash turned out a little too LESS, probably because the bracket wasnt stiff enough. However, It did help me a lot with finding a sweetspot. Maybe @NoWind and @moon have an idea if something like this could work. Of course @moon 's new drives will have the fixed gearmesh which should solve this.
This is a nice built. And I have a similar idea to this too
but the motor shaft needs to be long enough.
Cracking build, what enclosure is that?
Thanks, appreciate it! Yeah maybe if the motor axle would be longer or if the aluminium alignment rod could be inserted further the mesh would have been perfect in one go.

Glad it works! Imma redesign mine so next time im setting the mesh it will be perfect
So today I had a nice ride, limited the speed to 50 kmph (forgot to update the metr pro drive numbers so speed is slightly off) because I still need to get used to the higher speed. Also did some heavy uphill offroading which went less nice. Vesc temps went up high on rough hills which meant I reached the cutoff temp at some points. Resulting in me slowing down or stopping completely on the incline.
Correct me if you have any other ideas but I this is firstly and definitely due to the lower gearing 4:1 as opposed to 5:1. And secondly due to the focboxes not having enough heat exchange. To fix this I will get a 8T pinion to get 5:1 gearing. @NoWind has 8T pinions with half height keyways now which is great! This means I will keep the clearance which was the main reason why I bought the mini drive. Thought I would get away with 4:1 gearing but I was wrong. I hope the neoboxes v6 have a better heatsink, otherwise ill have to make a custom heatsink.
Did HfI work on the focboxes?
