@Kellag loves all things enertion right? I think he’s from the bay area too…
Could be complete shit but I have 2 arriving tomorrow
Im sure the price will change at some point because yesterday it was priced like this:
Good luck and keep us posted if you ever get to ride them.
Id go slowly for the first couple laps.
Yup. Racestars are one of the best motors out there and the cheapest, we’ll see
Hitachi backpacks are back again in NZ at clearance price NZD299.
Not the best for esk8, but works a treat on bikes and various projects.
Shit this is tempting Alex. HiKOKI info states 50a max current. What’s the consensus on that here - enough at 10s?
A similar deal is aldi has a 4amp 18v drill battery that my local store does for $20AU/NZD reduced. Inside is 10 x samsung 20R 2000mah cells. I have used these in a few builds now. Cheap and chearful. Bought over 20 packs in the past only had 1 cell go bad. Aldi are looking to open stores in NZ soon.
That makes the ebike build so clean!
Managed to pick up 4 of them all with the Hall sensors working. Paid 46 quid. (70 cents shipping per). Now they are 49.99 each
I feel like it’s time for me to design my own DIY build already having spare 10S4P and now 4 motors for almost nothing. Seems the ESC/VESC will be my most expensive part!
They also shipped super fast 2days (thanks for this one moon)
they arent bad!
Do your motors sound fine?
Also they share the same bolt pattern as 50mm motors if you didnt know already
Haven’t hade the opportunity yet to test them just looked at 1 so far. Hand spinning seems really good.
The wires are still softer then my bioboards motor wires.
Just snagged this 3 pack of fold up wrenches for half off ($9) because one snapped off the display hanger. Solid addition to an esk8 emergency kit.
I had issue with most of those not including 1.5mm hex. Forget what it was important for - I think pulley set screws. Bondhus Gorilla Orange on Amazon goes down to 1.5mm
Have been meaning to get a torx one as well, but all offerings seem to be lackluster/also lacking the smallest but still seen bits.
Looks cool, I’ll check them out if these break
They sound a bit wired when I lean them in my hand and spin.
Stator size 53x26mm.
But what about the hallsensor it on one side of the motor it’s like a half PCB.
Do I program them normally on the vesc tool?
