🌓 Go-FOC DV6 / PRO <High Current Dual ESC >

Hi do you have DV6 ready to ship and how long would it take to arrive in Toronto? do these work in HFI mode also?

Dude read the thread, every single question you asked has already been answered. Sans HFI, the DV6 supports HFI but its pretty dependent on the motors you use and even then it may not work correctly, which is no shortcoming of the DV6 but just a HFI setup problem.

Hm…
What do the 3.3v and 5v rails give? And what do they give once you connect the metr?
Seems like one side shuts down from power loss, OR, metr starts acting like an input/remote and that side starts listening exclusively to metr.
Does doing the wizard with metr and leaving it connected help?

It takes about 8 days to ship to Toronto. Through DHL.
DV6 can use Hfi mode, at least it can work on my 6374 motor.

this message was directed to the creator, not just anyone on this thread.

NO the answer is not here for my particular question. i am not going to read all 180+ message, also it’s hard to search this particular thread.

is this shipped by you directly or a 3rd party? some have said they waited a month with the delivery not arriving?

also do you have some in stock ready to ship. you didn’t answer this, thanks.

also if you watch this video it clearly states which type of motor doesn’t work.

also dude!

if it’s not stated on the main website of the product then I start to wonder why? and when the creator only replies, works on my motor (akin to a dev saying works on my PC), this tells me the ESC is really not thoroughly tested against multiple motors, nor for HFI mode.

maybe he can make a video proving and supporting HFI mode before I make a purchase.

Got to me in 5 days dhl in the US. You’re 2 days after that I’m guessing if in canada.

I hate DHL, those crooks always charge me duty, and then when I get stuff delivered by FedEx, UPS or even Canada Post I almost never get charged Duty.

Luckily I don’t have to deal with duty fees. That’s a whole other world to me.

I hate you man! :joy:

Dhl has their own Duty control, check or whatever you call it. Meaning you will almost always be charged duty fees if it has been shipped via DHL.

You clearly haven’t tried setting up HFI on a vesc if you think it’ll always perfectly work if you have the correct motor. In its current state, it’s a very hit or miss type of thing that I wouldn’t have a new build depend on. Just treat it like a bonus feature if it does work for your motor and gear setup.

Trampa will be coming out with a new controller soon that supports a different sensorless startup method, which supposedly will be more reliable, powerful, and quieter. It requires additional hardware though

Tbh – spot on! If you want an ESC that’s been tested with a variety of different motors and modes for an extended amount of time, you have to buy from one of the big boys – Trampa, Lacroix, and soon TorqueBoards.

So you can’t be bothered reading existing posts which potentially cover your questions but expect him to spend time recording videos showing hfi results on different motors just for you?

This being the cheapest 100A dual esc based on vesc6 probably isn’t for you if you need this kind of certainty.

ok I have been emailing Trampa on this and was told the HFI setup is now smooth and easily to setup and there is no need for me to tweak around. I was even encouraged to try using this, but I guess you have to buy a Trampa VESC for this to work smoothly.

yes my Flipsky ESC blew up 3 rides in, and I am shopping around for a new ESC, so in the process of collecting information.

Well, if you do go with Trampa, I suggest waiting a while for them to refresh their VESC 6 with ASS support (successor to HFI).

If you and that other ā€œdudeā€ guy bother reading my question.

it was about shipment date to Toronto and stock availability. exactly where is this answered?

i tagged the HFI question because it is not specified on his website and I wanted him to provide any update development.

also if you watched the follow up video I posted by Benjamin Vedder and I even timestamped it to start at his answer on his finding. going off this and having a capable ESC able to run the latest firmware, it is reasonable for anyone to expect HFI to work.

also it was a suggestion for him to follow up with more testing videos, one of them for HFI testing for him to be able to sell his VESC not just for ā€œmeā€, man that is kind a rude you coming at me like this with your baseless opinion.

also these video would help other in the community, would they not? so actually I am doing everyone a favour!

HFI still unreliable and unpredictable, many of us don’t even bother using it

Not really, we usually expect people to attempt to find information themselves within a thread, I mean, come on, this is a short thread. If you really want to know about this controller you gotta give it a quick read

If you open with saying, I read this thread and couldn’t find ā€œXā€ and then ask about it, that’s different.
