Gear drives, anyone use a single?

They are RC car gears if I am correct, designed to not really be used with grease… That’s if it is what I think it is atleast…

Interesting, I have about a dozen rc gears in my ebay cart. But I have been thinking of buying a spur gear cutter and trying one of those hard nylon cutting boards for a wheel gear.

Ideally I would like a gear small enough to run 90 mm or smaller wheels On my short board

I looked at the moon drive, is it possible to stager the gears a little to tuck the motor closer to the truck? It would allow more rotation of the motor away from the ground with a shorter mount. I like the compact design of the fatboy nano with the lower profile gear of the moon, I just want them to make a baby and I can get exactly what I want lol

There is a reason why it is the way it is.

Its the same size as a typical short mount. It could be smaller but that would mean an even smaller idler. This is a good place for me to start

Clearance on all street trucks I can think of and works with 78-110mm wheels :ok_hand:

For the time being I this is my setup

VESC - X
SK3 6374 149KV
10S2P 30T
2.42 3GD
Wheels - Seismic Speed Vent
Deck - Comet Le Grease Shark
Trucks - 177MM TKP 80MM Axles

AFAIK I will not use any risers which is great
