Thanks - yeah just wanted to bring it up as it’s the major ergonomic difference that’s come up between the dual trigger remotes I’ve tried. I can’t do that grip + thumb motion as comfortably on the Flipsky VX3 so it’s definitely my least favorite.
I’m realizing personally I seem to hate using the actual thumb joint for control leading to thumbwheels feeling like the worst option.
i’ve been using my controller for a few months every single day, never had an issue after I switched from esp-now to BLE, this week I changed to VX4 to be able to have a feel as an user so i could use it to improve my project, somehow the board freaked out on a busy wireless nightmare street and i was on the ground, what a PAINFULL lesson. will return to my remote immediately
I never trusted the VX4. I think the amount of remote and screen you got for the price made people blind to its shortcomings.
I’m rooting for your remote project so hard dude
I can upload here a dummy stl file, you can print it and test the ergonomics yourself, what do you say? ![]()
thanks! that’s really encouraging! can’t wait to have V2 out there
I’ll buy one when available!
Not gonna lie, I will be designing a puck shaped shell for this.
Sure! I don’t have a 3D printer myself so it might be a delay before I personally can get it printed though.
The other features are putting it pretty far ahead of all the other remotes already anyway so I’m sold already as far as that goes.
That reminds me, I wanted to ask if you plan on having extra receivers available to be able to use the same remote across multiple boards?
that’s already on all the remotes since the beginning, you can have as much as 127 different boards for one remote.
you turn the remote on then turn whatever the board you have on. they instantly connect, no hassles. plug and play
i’ll have an option in my store to select how many receivers you’ll want
I can print it quickly to compare to my zmote
i’ll upload later today, i’m 5~6 hours from now, when i get access to my windows pc
Nice! Do the multiple boards have individual spec profiles you can save with them as well?
excellent question! and yes, I’m working on that. Implementing individual profiles per board is straightforward, but managing it properly on a small scale is tricky without building a backend system. I’ll likely have it set up soon, especially since I plan to assign serial numbers to the remotes, which will require a proper framework.
Sounds good! Pretty sure none of the remotes I’ve seen out there (including Phaze at least the wi-fi one I have) have that feature or even sell extra receivers in Flipsky’s case.
Looking forward to simplifying things, and also to not have to use inductive charging like the Maytech/Flipsky dual triggers.
I can print one for you and send it with the Stormcore. Never used a trigger remote so wouldn’t mind seeing how it feels.
Maybe slightly overkill, but it could be nice to save the board config to the receiver and have the remote fetch it on connection? Like a first time connection startup sequence ![]()
I assume this statement implies you’ve already paired the remote and receivers together through some process and its not happening on the fly.
EG: If 2+ people are out riding, have some reason to turn off their boards/remotes and end up turning them back on - remote A isnt going to pair to remote B without having some shared-key or something of the sort.
that’s exactly what’s gonna happen with the current firmware version, I need to change that but hadn’t had time to fix it
but don’t worry, it’ll be implemented soon
Bump need new link. Thx
