Can we see a pic of your cat? Pay the cat tax, I heard that meow
I am all for more stuff on the market and ease of access. Im still a tinkerer so Im still gonna build my own.
If you were to do a parts kit, and printing/flashing is upto the buyer - I’d be more interested. Its less labor for you, and less part-sourcing/waiting for shit from 4, 5, 6 different sellers on ali, or over-spending on parts from amazon for the buyer.
Though post-sale support blah blah blah. I know its less ideal giving customers enough room to fuck shit up but alas if the firmware has to be baked for the users configuration anyways, its hardly any different than the user having changed/upgraded their board in the first place.
I used to have a dog as the head of HR
so you say if I had a kit to sell you would buy the kit?
Depending on the cost id be interested
Im definitely interested in your pro version ![]()
Absolutely; depending on the price, more than one ![]()
This is awesome! Would it be possible to have a button somewhere in the interface on the pro version that toggles an accessory port on the receiver (similar to the Puck 2 remote/receiver)? I’m picturing using it in conjunction with something like @BenjaminF’s Accessory Smart Switch to toggle lights.
Maybe you could leverage some of that sweet sweet telemetry data you’re already passing back and forth along with the light sensor on the remote and have an auto setting that allows the accessory switch to toggle automatically based on certain conditions…
i.e.
If the board is moving over x speed and ambient light < x amount, turn on accessory (lights). If the board is stationary for more than x amount of time turn off the accessory, etc.
^ I’ll join a patreon for this project if you promise to implement this
yeah that could be implemented
yeah that could be done, the possibilities are endless, the only issue is how to manage on the UI without having extensive menus, but it can be done, i’m packing almost everything the community wants on the pro version, like wifi charging, buzzers, haptic feedback…
Well you’ve sold me on at least 2!
Any ETA on when to expect the pro version to release? I know it might be too early/difficult to tell but now you’ve got me all excited haha
I’ll probably print the shell for Lite to see how it feels in hand, but assembly and firmware flashing instructions may be a bit too barebones for me atm.
i’m planning to release v2 it by the end of the year, the cost will be around $120
Dibs on first batch!
This remote project looks killer. Will the pro version have the same physical size etc as this lite version?
it’ll be thinner and slightly larger on the palm to fit the amoled display, but the grip is even better than V1
A kit with the electronics assembled and we just need to provide our own shell etc and fully assemble would be great. I wouldn’t mind milling my own aluminum thumb wheel and linkage off your files you provided.
Lmao first thing I’m doing is modding this to fit into the shape of the puck
Puck Pro or bust
