Please please make sure you use the US dollar amount on the customs declaration as they will absolutely hose US customers by using the non converted value or assume it is a euro equivalent. Paid 400% tariff on a $40 purchase and i just can’t do that anymore

Wanted to get one of each and some receiver s but that $175 price point has me being more conservative to test it more. Doesn’t seem unreasonable just was hoping for it to be in the $120 range.

I’ll take care of that.
Regarding the price, it’s already as tight as possible. I don’t have large margins, but it’s a fair price and no corners were cut in the product design or quality.
For example, the travel case included alone costs me €11.

Don’t get me wrong, it seems fair. I am just a cheap bastard as well as afraid of tariffs. I really hate this administration. If they were just evil or stupid but no, had to do both 
Put in my preorder and am really excited to try it out.
Are the receivers part of the open source branch or are they backwards compatible? I have some simple boards that don’t really need a nicer remote so i was going to build one of them for it and it would be pretty cool if they all worked together or could all be made to do so.

i understand. The receiver is “universal” you can throw one receiver on each board you have and whatever remote works, both lite and dual.
the only compatibility issue would be with V1s that are out there already, they aren’t compatible with the new remotes because the protocol changed for increased security.

That’s awesome! Even if some features get added to future versions that aren’t backwards compatible that’s huge. If i make a (new current) v1 from the open source plans it’s Nice to know i could get a lite version from you and swap to a new remote without needing to change the receiver.

Looks like the indicator led reacts to the throttle value? Is there a way to grab that signal to output a break light signal? Wouldn’t be hard to capture the light output from the led and use it as an input to a Arduino to then run an led as long as that effect stays in the firmware/hardware.
Nice progress, glad to see so much of your efforts paying off

yeah it would be easy, the feature is already implemented, what it can be done is the aux output to have different behaviours set over the config tool on my website. it could be
Aux output state:
0 or 5V output (on/off)
0 or 3v3 output (on/off)
0 to 3V3 or 5V (analog out)
0 to 3V3 or 5V pulsed (horn signal)

Trip odometer would be cool too if it’s easy to add.
I also feel the same, I just don’t know how to add to the screen without compromising the “cleanliness”, since I’m not a designer, I’ve came to this point taking decisions alone and by the feeling. I have high hopes for this UI/UX collaboration

If it’s trip or absolute I would pick absolute but both would be cool. Showing board battery as a voltage value instead of a gauge would be better too. The “–” might be where that already goes but can’t tell.

appreciate your feedback, maybe I can add something where the user could select which type of odometer he wants to see on the screen by using the online config tool, but that would require the user to have to connect to a computer everytime he wants to change it. maybe the odometer could be alternated every x seconds on the main screen also.
A friend from Oregon gave me some feedback on the product last week and his first question was - “dude why are you showing mi/h, we like it mph!”
So I just changed that
