(GB IS Completed) Maytech 6396 GB US/EU (xx/20 reserved)

I’m not too surprised. Lacroix uses these at pretty low settings, choosing them because of things like their sealed design and extra support bearing which should theoretically make these more reliable motors.

But also… I wonder how many voltages can we put through them…

You can almost buy a complete Meepo for the price of 2 of those motors and have the same performance

They should change this to 30amps then… @Eileen @Agnes_Maytech

Any idea what motor amps exactly?

This info could be out of date, but I believe they shipped set @ 30/60 on the Jaws, and 45/75 on the Nazare/Lonestar.

I mean, it’s good to find it out before having them on the board. :man_shrugging: Many of us DIY fellas should be able to countersink some holes even with a hand drill for sure. Is it extra work? Yes. Did we get health-messing-ly scammed? Yeah, we did. :frowning:

For $150 a pop you get to: Fix the shitty plate screws, replace the shitty shielded support bearing, run them at 30amps… what a deal…
Stick to open maytechs or TB6380.

Yeah, definitely a bummer. But for ~$120 shipped to my door, I’m still happy. Maybe I’ll punch some holes in the bell housing end when I have it apart to change the support bearings.

It only make sense no!?
I mean. I don’t think maytech will take those back lol

The way I see it.
Maytech didn’t locktite their shit
Overtime it broke loose and started rocking back n forth
That’s when things go south

Maysky Fliptech…remind me why I bought these when I actually need 8mm shaft motors?

same stator size as 6384 - check
heavier - check
innovative outer ring bearing which overheats the motor - check
ring bearing non-sealed type which can seize with moderate rain use - check

But hey it gives the biggly bigs!

Due diligence, we have been warned!
