Front drive is better for brakes, rear is better for acceleration. Choose your poison.

Thanks man… sadly it was a little too small for my Board… so I had to use the leftover from the side…
But really think the design fits the board.
And now with the RWD Conversion it for sure feels like I am having a new board overall

I think rear is better for brakes and front is better for acceleration.

When you slam on the brake, it’s much safer if it’s on the back. If the wheel loses traction you’re in bad shape if it’s on the front. Also when it’s wet it increases the odds of losing traction.

Well yeah, you put all your weight on the front downhilling.

So now after two rides with the RWD I can say that the board handles completely different.

When throttling it feels like the board is pulling a little to one side.
While I think I got more traction when throttling - I am more prone to get a little unbalanced when throttling with RWD.

So I tightened the trucks a little bit more to have more balance (I used to have them quite loose before).
Braking feels good both with RWD and FWD.

One good thing is that I just like the cleaner look of the board from the front.
One downside is that the dirt will always go towards the beld, idler, motor now that it is in the back.

Will keep it like this for now and see if I get used to it.

Hahaha, once you’ve FWD’ - it’s hard to go back to RWD… that’s what I meant by pointless.

FWD FTW baby

ah well… I will try to get used to it…
I give it a month or so. If I can’t cope with it then I will just convert back on the next maintenance run.
