Funboxskate.com anybody with experience on decks?

I was almost sold on a Moose brand board till I found 2 separate reviews of guys posting them with the nose broken off… forget that! So now I found what seems like the perfect deck, 41.5, big double drop https://funboxskate.com/product/ldp/
Im 6’4" 223lbs, any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
I also saw some at Ehlers’s Skate Shred, but that 2" drop with drop though on the funbox site looks so cool and I can’t find that combo anywhere else!

I am going to do a full TB build with his new off road tyres and slim battery and want to go low as possible on first ebuild.
Thanks Y’all!

… or you can wait a month until torqueboards releases their new deck which is a drop deck with an integrated cavity for the battery and then you can run low low and not have to worry about scraping most likely…itll be a hundred percent torqboard board through and through

you could wait for a jet killshot deck

Is this a real thing??

I’m rocking a suzie slide though, awesome. But too short for you at 6’4". The deck you linked is 8ply whick is a bit thin for big dudes. You might end up reinforcing any deck with fiberglass/cf anyway, which should open up options?

tentatively yes… im sur eif you mildly look around at recent threads you can find the one chatting about all their new shit coming out… im def waiting for this deck and interested to see the enclosure

That funbox deck is only 8 ply maple. It’s probably better suited for 150 lbs or less analog.

I’d shoot for 9 ply absolute minimum… Especially being 40+". Personally I’d only settle for 10-11+ ply being 200+ myself. If less, than bamboo plys + FG or CF layers or just FG/CF layers.

I’ve had a tail snap off a 13 ply maple topmount no drop deck/no cutouts… That’s what you get with esk8 minus composite reinforcing.

Have you taken a look at https://www.skateshred.com/wholesale-blank-longboard-decks.html?

Skateshred is solid. One of my first diy used a skateshred drop deck. Made cutouts to help with wheel bite and it still holds
Up great. Im 210 lbs btw

And where do i find a deck thats 10+ ply?

My moose deck just broke, so I just ordered one of these decks as it seemed like the next best option for the price.

I will test it out and let you know how it is!

I have had their hazel board for the last two years as a normal push board. Great concave, slight flex, and has taken a whole lot of abuse but it is still going strong.
