Freeboard S2 bindings

So what’s the verdict on freeboard S2 bindings? I’m on the verge of picking up a set and i want some opinions on them.

Better than nothing in giving you leverage, and easy to slip out of in case of falling. Setting it up is limited unless you drill your own holes and limited adjustability compared to TomiBoi hooks.

Ok good to know. I have a flux deck that has the inserts pre installed but im hesitant cause the tomiboi ones might be better, but ill need the correct bracket.

I can’t remember exactly how they were different but I know for sure that the S2 bindings that were sold with the Flux were different from the standard ones. Definitely the brackets are different and were made by Frederic. All to say that I’m not sure the standard S2 mounts will work with the Flux.

Here’s the schematic of the deck. I read that the tomiboi bindings might need a custom bracket but the freeboard ones should work fine.

S2 are ok but if u ride hard or are heavy and do deep carves/jumps they may bend a little.
Experience on 5x

They are quite easy to get out of

I know you asked about S2s but if I can offer my $0.02: After having ridden the S2s and the tomiboi bindings quite a lot in the past, I just ended up going to the MBS F5s on my street boards simply for the comfort. If you don’t have the F5s super tight, they are still super easy to get out of. You can just use them without the heel straps. They’re just so much more comfortable.
