Forum Adjustments and Updates

We’ll look into it. I’m not yet sure what is creating the issue on mobile.

For troubleshooting: are you all using the discourse app, or a mobile browser to access the forum?

I’m using browser, but if there is a good discourse app for Android pls let me know. I think there might be something out there but it just opens a browser tab.

I just made an Esk8.news home screen shortcut and it works really well. (I’m on IOS though) It removes the normal internet browser interface and just gives me this site by itself. Never had any issues since.

Don’t…it’s just an app that opens an internal browser to load the website.

Mobile browser (Kiwi) in the Webapp format (App shortcut that’s solely for this site which also removes the addressbar (like @JoeyZ5 has it)

The iOS version manages accounts across discourse forums, and I think there are some other features, Can someone look into it for iOS and Android?

discourse app using the built-in browser

discourse app opening regular browser if toggled

discourse app - no settings apart using the built-in browser or not. That’s it.

Right - but the app centralizes access to multiple accounts on various discourse sites before it nudges one over to the browser. And it will show @‘s and other notifications in a central place on the app.

I agree, though, that neither feature is especially useful :grinning:

this is like using the browser with extra steps :joy:

Using the browser doesn’t log me out either, i can still get pings and i can reach the website with less taps + have more real estate of the site (using the webapp compared to browser and built-in browser)

but i digress, getting the smaller windows is more important.

Here it happened again. It seems to go into this all or nothing mode. I need the text editor to stay open but not all the way so I can leave my cursor where I want my quoted text to be.

Is there a chance we can get some colours in our threads?

since some of the expert like to throw out formulas and stuff, maybe this would also help?

There’s a critical update available now that may fix some of these issues. I was planning to run it tonight around 9PM eastern. 2.8.0beta6 → 2.8.0beta9

not math, just a way to present formula and chemicals like how we are used to see, for example CO2 can finally become image :joy:

Goddamnit if I managed to survive this much of university without learning latex and then finally come around to make better forum posts I’ll be so ashamed
