Forum Adjustments and Updates

Makes perfect sense. But if discourse allows it then we should only disable editing in vendor section or items for sale section. Because otherwise it severely discourages members from making build thread. I can say that 100% because it was hella frustrating when there was a time limit on the edit. Taking off the edit button completely would just make me stop using that forum.

Edit: having the edit history visible, like it was before, would solve a whole lot of these issues.

But then i wouldn’t be able to to add stuff to my post, right? I’d have to leave it in the comments.

Why not leave the Edit button like it was before and make the Changelog visible again so it won’t disappear completely?

All I wanted to do is drop the price on my Board in the title so people could see it. It was 1000 then 900 and now I was thinking king of going further down.

Yeah, not being able to edit anywhere is definitely annoying. Bringing back the edits visible is in my opinion the way to go. I never had any issues with it. Not sure why that was removed either.

The edit feature is available if you are level 3 or above. I will look into removing it only for sales threads but I doubt it’s possible. Give me a couple of days to find a solution, if not I’ll revisit with the other admins.

Link me the thread and I’ll do it for you.

@mishrasubhransu & @xsynatic both of you are level 3 so this change has no effect on you.

Thanks @mmaner. Please drop the price to £800. In the title and main bit too.

Thank you. Yeah, I realize it has no effect on us. It’s about making it friendlier for new comers. We don’t want them being pushed away because of lack of usually available features.

Done, feel free to let me know if you need other changes.

I don’t want then to not feel welcome either, but it’s not abnormal to have to earn a level that awards more features.

Sigh! How does one make a decent build thread without an edit button? And how does one get to regular without posting decent stuff? :man_shrugging:

I said give me a couple of days, please.

I do not see a correlation.

This is a perfect example.

I don’t know the guy, he’s probably perfectly honest. But his 1st post is selling 750 bucks worth of gear. Thirst post needs to remain so this user can build his reputation.

All I’m trying to do is keep people from deleting thread contents.

@MindEracer, I mean nothing bad twords you, just using your sales thread as an example for @mishrasubhransu. Good luck in your sale.

I have a legit reason to edit my spelling and grammar with is what 99% of my edits were

with how badly this layout is on iso devises with things covered by menus bars you can’t see half of what you type until it’s posted and now I can’t edit it.

I see it more as discrimination to those of use who have sever disability’s who relied on that feature to make our points coherent

P.S.
Slamming a mager platform that is heavily used is not a justification before you do it.

Couldn’t there be like a character edit limit? Let’s say 20 words/24h or something. Makes marking items as sold or editing pricing/spelling within reason

Thats funniest thing Ive read all day :).
