My unity was working all fine, I tested it on my motors and it worked fine, I wanted to test it again the next day (after soldering new cables to it) and when I plugged it in the battery it won’t react to anything plugged to it, can’t find it on my Bluetooth list, my pc doesn’t recognize it, and all the lights on the focbox (red, green and blue) are lit. Does that mean that it’s dead???
What did you solder to it?
8awg motor cables
what kind of motors are you running that need 8awg?
8 is way beefy.
I work in a cable producing company so why not
Picture possible?
Can’t argue with the age old ‘why not?’
It does seem a little excessive though.
Go over your solder in detail and check if you possibly shorted anything, maybe debris fell on the PCB… I’ve not come across where all 3 LEDs are lit like that… @Deodand ?
I work with batterypacks. Why not go for 20s50p.
12 awg is more then enough for a unity. Maybe the heat from soldering the 8awg have killed some components
I did put it under a microscope everything was fine
I’ve been told that the drv might be dead, so I ordered two new drv and my friend will replace them
I’m picking up a unity later in the week that apparently is suffering very similar issues. I wonder if the dude did any of his own soldering to it
Interesting. The phase wires arn’t near any of the heat sensitive components… Unless you burned or shifted some fets from the heat… Maybe some vesc wizard can chime in at some point
Keep me updated on how u will fix it please
I don’t think I’ll be able to cuz my pc doesn’t even recognize it
Oh, I meant guys on here who repairs/designs those things.
