It’s a solid remote physically and electronically. I just wish they’d make another model shape.
Yeah seems like that would be a good move for them. I think I’ll stick with my Mini. I’d like to try the vx1 but the receiver I have is made for VESC 6
iirc u can just get the correct pin layout cable, and u will be able to use the same receiver on V4
And where might one find the correct pin layout cable. And perhaps I can rearrange the wires in the v6 just that came with it.
its just matching the receiver to correct pins on the unity, depending on if u want to use ppm or urat mode
If I use urat I would use COMM port right.
So i guess I would use the receiver diagram off this and the unity diagram
I’ve been using the VX1 and VX2 with unities for about a year now with no issues. Just don’t use the push to start feature on the unity with them, there is an issue there.
Correct, COM port for URAT.
all u need to do is make sure the correct pin match the unity diagram, then it should work like normal
this method just saved u from buying a new remote lol
only cost was few mintues to rearrange those cables.
Sorry to be reviving an old comment but I need some help. I don’t know much about esk8 boards but I have one with a unity but I don’t know where it’s controller is.
I bought a Vx2 now, but I removed the 2.4g receiver that looks just like that one because I assumed the VX1 would come with it’s receiver. Is that not the case? Is that part for ppm? Should I keep it as well as the new receiver that comes with the VX1?
Sorry for the maybe stupid questions but I’m very confused on how to proceed with replacing the controller.
Can you send pics of the receiver you removed?
Typically it is one receiver board per remote but you can pair some remotes to other receivers using a bind key which jumps two pins on the remote receiver to tell it to go into pairing mode. This would be in the instructions for the remote.
