Btw, this is all the components you will need for a complete assembly:

(+ aluminum plate for sinking heat)

Do you know what the cost is for five assembled boards from JLCPCB?

Sound good, I get my fets mybe today. I will try to do the same mounting method with the normal pin headers

mhh i ordered 2 assembled and 3 without for a total of 120 $ (with discount)

Without assembled were bare boards with no components?

works great! . Today I also got the caps and fets  So i try to finish it this weekend.

I recently ordered 10 board - all assembled (incl. shipping to EU but excl fets and 330 uF capacitors) for $241.08

Remember to put solder on big planes on bottom side BEFORE mounting fets.
And the same thing on the top side before mounting capacitors.

I don’t know which fets you ended up ordering. The BOM says “CRST030N10N”, but you mentioned another type (which I will not mention to avoid public fet-confusion). The one you mentioned earlier I have no practical experience with, so I don’t know, but it will probably work. No guaranties that it actually fits the chosen gate resistors.

Just uploaded the latest gerber plus bom files from git to JLCPCB.
LEDs are in stock again, but D6/D7 are out of stock. With extended part 5.2V zener diodes, the cost for 5 populated PCBs is 140$ -9$ Voucher = 131$ plus shipping (without JST connectors, 330uF caps and FETs). Connectors P1-P11 had to be unticked, they were recognized and populated, even without LCSC numbers!

Bad news from jlcpcb:
Thanks for placing your order on JLCPCB.COM.

You need to pay additional 67.65 for your order. gerber_Y2【3933504A_Y2】

Reason:

1.The order info shows that there is only one design , but actually, there are 3 different designs in your file, so there will be an extra cost for it if you want to make it as show in your file. Please kindly choose the correct designs when you place your order next time.

Please note that this batch order won’t be put into production if funds have not been received.

I canceled it, any idea what I could change to prevent them as seeing it as multiple designs? Maybe add extra links between the boards? Hard to guess the limit they accept it. And it takes some time to revise it so you don’t know immediately if they accept it or not.

Add cosmetic traces between the two segments that you can snap off anyways

Not sure, they say it won‘t help: In what cases will there be charged extra?

„ Basically, if the traces/ silkscreen/ solder mask in your PCB is different, as long as it can be separated, no matter by v-cut, millings, or drill holes, it will be regarded as different designs even there are traces between the boards.“

Am I to understand the problem would go away if we were left to cut the boards ourselves?

i mean I ordered the CRST030N10N but its still some time till i receive them.

I have them here:
Mouse Fets

i dont know if they will work cause there is a different resistance then, the ones you told me to get.

On one occasion I got the same message - that was when I had mouse bites. Then I made the taps instead, and I never heard a thing again.

I remember that I chosed the CRST030N10N specifically because of the very low Rds-on-resistance of 2.5mΩ, whereas the ones you have from Mouser is 7mΩ.

I think you should only use 6 mosfets (not 12) if you decide to go with the Mouse. They probably work, but might get warmer. I don’t know.

There is now an alternative gerber in /production folder. gerber_alternative.zip. You can try that one.
