Flipsky won’t connect to flipsky Vesc

Hey guys, my name is Chris. I am new to the forum, but I am not new to riding electric skateboards. I have a propel endeavor pro and in August the remote died so I purchased a new VESC from flipsky after doing a little bit of research online I figured it was the easiest thing to do. I bought a VX two remote. I haven’t ridden the board since I have contacted the company several times all they seem to do is just give me the instruction manual over and over and over and over i’ve paid two separate companies to try to help me here locally in San Diego. Neither was of any help I really love riding my board. It’s directly connected to my mental health. I’m tired of throwing good money after bad. I’ve purchased an anti-spark switch that doesn’t seem to work. I purchased two remotes because maybe I thought the first one I broke no I can get the board to connect to where it will show how much battery is on the skateboard and it will show the signal of the skateboard, but it will not allow me to use the trigger and I take it all the way through the VESC tool everything works great. Everything looks great. The remote says that I’m connected to it, but it does not work. It has not worked. It hasn’t worked ever. Everything is brand new. I also purchased a Bluetooth module thing that never connected either. Could never get that to work either. I’m not very technically savvy. I’m really desperate at this point to just get the thing to work. Any help is greatly greatly appreciated. I’ve read online about the crossed wires. I’ve tried that. I’ve tried everything guys.

Are you able to connect to the vesc with a computer, and then under app settings “app to use” choose uart? And under “vesc remote” or another similar category there is a setting “control type” make sure its set correctly

Was motor detection done? Also which flipsky model? The tx/rx swapping may or may not be needed.

I doubt this is the case but if the vx2 was dropped the magnets in the thumb wheel can also stick together making the wheel behave funny.

Hi Chris, after reading your post several times, this is sounding like an esc/remote configuration issue.

I hear you about mental health being directly tied to a functioning board.

Might sound funny, but some portion of my mental health is tied to solving problems.

So you have been able to connect with Vesc-tool?

Mobile or PC?

We are gonna need some more info to sus this one out.

P.S. it is really helpful for reading, to separate statements into paragraphs with some punctuation.
