If one already uses a VX4, would upgrading to the pro be more worth it than a hall sensor - potentiometer swap?
Afaik the extra buttons are exclusive to FSESC features

Would someone be able to modify this protective shell for the new pro remote. Dimensions should be the same, just needs some extra holes for the added buttons.
Hello guys, I have now the new vx4 pro v1.0 andU unfortunately, the pairing with the makerbase 84200hp connected via PPM did not work for me. Has anyone had a similar experience or just has an idea how to fix it…I’m very grateful for any help!
Quick warning on the new VX4 Pro. It has a throttle lock that is on by default when you power it up. If you take a break during a run then start to bomb a hill without needing to accelerate don’t forget to unlock the throttle first! My friend was using my chain drive and just dropped in after turning the remote on. Steep steep asphalt section and he didn’t have brakes when he needed them because of the throttle lock.
He could have just tapped the power button twice to unlock it but in the heat of the moment he didn’t know what was going on and decided to slide it out toe side forward going about 25mph. He was fine, just some scrapes but don’t forget about the throttle lock! There should be a way to disable it.

Yeah, the automatic throttle lock when you power it on is a little annoying. Hopefully will let you program that out in a future firmware upgrade. I have a VX4 Pro on my ION Drive V1 and liking it so far. Definitely an improvement over the original.

Yes really annoying. Took me a good while to disable the fist time around. Also no fucking mention of that in the manual. Anybody know what the gear lock option is in the settings? I was sure it was to disable this, but it has no effect on it.

It’s so you can’t change from H M or L. Keeps it at whatever is set when you lock it. Yeah the manual is garbage.

I just wanted to share the stl. I modified to hopefully fit the VX4 Pro.
I can’t guarantee anything, haven’t even printed it yet. Will report back after a freiend prints it for me.

Also having issues after swapping from a voyager that tried to kill me twice, hoping to take out tmo with the mother for mothers day, so if someone could help me get working would love you long time
Switched rx&tx, got battery reading from board, uart&ppm, current, also tried current bisexual just cant get any motion in the ocean pls help
Do you have the newer VX4 with four buttons or the old version with two? The new one doesn’t come default set to “FSESC” in the “ESC type” setting. Also I think you have to calibrate the thumb wheel through the remote menu before it will do anything. Factory settings for min, middle and max came with all the same value on the few that I have received.

That was indeed it, probably couldve figured out last night if i hadnt had a few 
Saw that in menu last night and didnt even look at it cause i didnt see that menu last time, figured it would be a non issue

Flipsky instructions, even in video form, are a flaming dumpster fire at best. Even running a Unity, I had to choose FSESC on the menu instead of Focbox in order for my VX4 Pro to read mph, battery etc correctly.

Anyone know if it’s possible to set the default home screen to 1 (simpler layout) on the pro version?
Yeah just hold the menu and power button down. I think it goes back to the new screen after powering off and back on though.
