Yeah I’m hoping to get it to be the default screen when you power it on instead of having to switch every time.
I’m running a Flipsky VX4 Pro remote in UART mode with a VESC-based dual ESC MakerX D75, and I’ve run into a strange telemetry problem:
- While holding throttle (either accelerating or braking), the speed on the VX4 display looks frozen — it just sits there at one value.
- As soon as I release the throttle, the speed reading suddenly “catches up” and refreshes correctly.
The board itself accelerates and brakes fine, so motor control is working. It’s only the speed display that lags/freezes until I let go of the throttle.
Is this a firmware bug, UART config issue, or maybe something wrong with my unit? Any fixes, firmware updates, or settings I should try?
I tried the PPM+UART mode and it behaves exactly the same.
Thanks in advance.
This used to happen with my davega with a d75 as well.
Try switching what side of the esc the uart is plugged into
Thanks for the tip. The problem was the antenna. It was sticked to the aluminium esc enclosure (I have it fitted in small esc enclosure). When i just sticked it elsewhere it started working as expected.
Getting back into esk8 and ran into an issue hoping yall can help.
I started experiencing random loss of connection with my old receiver, so i put in a new one and i cant get my vx4pro to pair with it using the standard pairing process. Uart. Can you not re-pair a vx4pro to a new receiver? Does it need a firmware update?
Weirdly, the old receiver shows as paired still, but now won’t let me use the throttle and won’t show battery %.
any ideas on what i could try?
On mine I had to toggle the type of Vesc in the remote settings to get it to play nice
My issue is i just cant get it to pair with a new receiver. Tried toggling thru diff vesc types, no dice. Does the receiver itself need an update somehow?
Oh.
To pair mine I turn on the remote. Go into the menu. I think the first thing is pairing.
I flip it in so pairing is blinking.
And then I turn the board on.
And it pretty much Immediately finds it and pairs.
Are you following this same sequence
