So the thumb wheel is the weak link? I saw there were a a 4DS upgrade for that & also rumour of a Cybertech replacement & now a link to stock replacement?

What’s the best bang for buck upgrade?

I put one of the 3DS thumb wheels on my VX4 and it’s been very good. Feels much better than stock and minimal fussing to get it installed.

cool, just seems a bit rich to spend €50 to fix a €70 remote

They should vx5 with a better thumbwheel & shake things up, I kind of like the ergonomics being of the smaller handed persuasion

Is the 3ds kit still a potentiometer or is it hall? How does the thumbwheel feel vs stock?

yes, its hall

Hall sensor. The feel is much nicer than stock. More substantial feeling and very smooth. Nub is good size to engage with your thumb but not too large.

Can confirm, the hall sensor metal thumbwheel is a total gamechanger. It’s just so
smoooooooooooooooooth. I am so satisfied with this remote

Where did you get the files to upgrade!?
The ones I got, were corrupt…
Was there any soldering that needed to be done with the new hall sensor?

Yes, you have to solder on the connectors. Very simple and straight forward though.

Link of hall sensor used in 3DS kit and stl files for 3D printed big throttle wheel?

You can probably ask 3DS which hall sensor he uses. Don’t know of a file for the throttle wheel, you may have to make one from scratch.

Perfect thanks to @3DServisas for a great product

Thoughts about the old part to whomever thought this was a good idea!

The 3DS part seems really nice but it’s a lot to spend on a remote that cost %50 more haha

Worth every cent even if you have to flip a few more burgers.

Updated my puck to the new firmware and I put the guts back in the Batwing and it feels much more responsive now
