Flipsky 16.3 cnc trucks

I’ve always had good luck with vbeltguys. Good products, low price, and like $7 shipping or something reasonable.

Anyone on here have a set of these trucks? Wondering what yah came up with for bash guards.

Just got mine assembled. I did my best to copy flipsky but dont have the patience for some of the more intricate design work. Wanted sturdyish as well. Lmk if anyone wants these.

Has anyone had issues with the spherical bearing in the piviot coming out a bit? Wondering if i should epoxy them in.

Do you mean the pivot cup, the little dome shaped bushing the pivot sits into?

If so, does it come out when disassembling the truck or when? I can’t visualise how that would come out otherwise, but generally they’re supposed to be replaceable like kingpin bushings and you don’t need to epoxy them in. Decent quality ones and/or lube (shavings of soap are a common DIY one) can improve the feeling of the trucks a bit, more predictable and less catching and slipping

No the pivot is a spherical bearing.

I was running ldp upside hanger.

The rear truck the bearing comes out

You can see it poking out

The dewedge on the century appears to lever it out.

Ahhh interesting! Never mind then I don’t know anything about those, flipsky don’t even seem to mention it on the product page

Yes tis an interesting scenario. Thats actually why i bought them i thought it was an awesome idea truck shangers can move up and down while the pivot should stay fixed but i cracked one out accidentally and since then has worked it works it way back out on odder set ups.

I have one of the three motor mount set screws fudged. These are the screws that hold the mount to the hanger.

The hanger is 22x22mm, im wondering what my mount options are. Has anyone tested radiums moumts on 22 x 22 mm?

Been working on this for a good bit today but might be a losr cause.

Can you drill thru it & re-tap a size up?

Thanks. I was hoping to have a different option but it may come to it.

I might be able to get it out, I probably dont have the equipment to get a thread that large and deep.
This was the plan initially to use a similar size in standard. Ill give it another crack another time. I didnt have much luck today.
Good suggestion none the less

Looks like it’s aluminum. If you have a 12.9 alloy steel screw/bolt of the size you need (m4 or m5?), you can cut grooves with a dremel into the screw or use a hand file to make similar notches into it & then tap the new hole with the modified screw.

Have you already tried hammering a torx bit into the set screw to get it out that way? Last good option aside from that is a very thin cutting disc on a dremel, cut a slot into the screw & a quality flat-head bit from like an ifixit kit should be strong enough to unscrew it. Like, you can cut the slot in the bottom of the mount instead of top (I think atleast, dunno what the mount looks like on the other side)

Anyways, gl. Sometimes it’s definitely not worth the hassle. Sometimes you can dissolve the screw thru electrolysis depending on material composition.

Did you try applying some heat to it? Sometimes a torch can do wonders. A heatgun also works but needs more time

Scheduled chaos, sendcutsend 0 degree baseplate for flipsky 16.3 cnc trucks. Going to test on a mtb unless serious concerns arise.

Hey late to the party, really love this build  Would you mind sharing the 3d file for the bash-guard? Will be getting these trucks soon and would like to try them out, thanks in advance!
