So I’m currently working on a Demonseed build which I plan to hopefully post here once it’s complete and I have photos.
I’m still waiting on parts to arrive. Nothing fancy, but a big upgrade over my BKB convert Rayne Nemesis that I put over 2000 miles since April.
I’m curious about what gearing I should use. I am on 120mm cloud wheels and 12s5p p42a with 6385 173kv reacher Tech motors and
15mm belts and gearing 44/18. Range is the aim but 35mph top speed is important for my commute. this gearing works nicely on my 10s190kv board. Provides good torque and and top speed close to 30’s.
Just a low quality sneak peak. I’m no camera man

Did you mount that VESC heatsink yourself? Is that waterproof? How’d you go about that?

You can buy them pre mounted from eBoards Peru, but you can do it yourself by making the hole and screw holes with just a drill and jigsaw. If you need it waterproof you can do it with silicone
^this guy know
But yes, for an additional $100, eboosted will cut, reinforce and install his heat sink. Im not the biggest fan of how to ESC mounts to it but shouldn’t be an issue, especially once I put down some thermal paste between the esc and heatsink
The enclosure is not water tight and I don’t think it could be with heavy use of a sealant which could destroy the enclosure if you ever needed to get into it. The enclosure isn’t a perfect fit and there are some gaps that would been to be filled. I may or may not get some closed cell single sided adhesive foam as a second gasket layer to help fill the gaps, but I’m still undecided.
I have some of that foam on now, I’m about to install an eBoosted enclosure on an LY Switchblade. Been thinking of doing this for my FSESC6.6+ heatsink but I want to maintain waterproofing at all costs.

Never hurts to have thermal paste But I wouldn’t go ruining any form of water resistance you already have over it imo. I don’t expect there to be a huge change in temps. Only adding for extra piece of mind really.
