First Build - Wander, aka (not) Sponsored by Torqueboards

Got to get some bubbles out, but here’s No Face.
Shame he’s gonna look like shit after about two rides.

Your first build and my first build are like two completely different universes…
You kids are so lucky these days.
Enjoy it dude.

Dude, your n’th build showed me that this is art, and I was inspired. Thanks for doing what you do.
Also thanks to Dex for making this stuff so easy.

That is one sleek board!!! I love the CNC trucks and the kegel adapters - makes it looks like it’s a car with disc brakes.

And I thought that I recognized that transmitter case (the one that your build was sitting on) in the first few photos - definitely from FrSky!!! Nice to see a fellow FPV pilot in here!

Yep! Trusty old Taranis

Replaced my bent TB belt drive with 3DS stuff, added Davega X, and re-gripped.

When I first saw the red 3d servisas stuff I thought “who would buy that, black looks better” but you proved me so wrong! That looks super clean! Shame it’s no longer drop-through :frowning:

I went with the 3DS low profile baseplates, so… semi-drop-through?

Damn that looks good. I had a very similar transition into DIY esk8. It started with FPV miniquads and then gained enough confidence to jump into this hobby.

And yeah, your first build looks waaaaaaaay better than my first.

Prettiest tb40 build I’ve seen, that color scheme is tight!

What width did you go with on those hangers?

  1. 240s might have worked, but would have required removing one of the gearboxes to install the motors.
