Also, it appears the 6.6 model is using 3.3v vs the 4.2 model which appears to use 5v?
My apologies if I’m getting annoying.
I can’t find anywhere to purchase just a receiver and harness separately

You’re fine, when I started I asked a lot of questions too, don’t be afraid to ask anything, a lot of people on this forum are very nice. The receiver uses both 3.3v and 5v. You don’t need to by a new receiver or harness. You can pull the prongs out of the connector and swap them around
I’m at work, I’ll be at my house in around 3 hours. I’ll send you pictures on how to pull the prongs out and swap the cables around. The connector from the vesc that is supposed to go to the fsesc 4.12, (with power off) see if it will still fit in the 6.6 (if it feels like a prong could break then stop). I know the connector is one prong shorter then on the fsesc, but still see if it will still connect. You don’t need that last prong so it doesn’t matter as long as it can still fit in
Thanks for your help, I appreciate it tremendously.
The plug will fit in slot 2 and I understand how to move pins in connector. Should I move red wire to 3.3v or leave it on 5v? Other end will go to vin terminal in receiver.
I would move to 3.3v although I don’t think it matters
Did you get it to work?
Thanks for checking in. My battery won’t be done till probably Wednesday. I swapped the tx <—> rx wires in the connector but left the power wire on 5v based on receiver (see photo). My concern is there’s a different receiver for vesc 6 vs vesc 4? Or maybe even different firmware in remote? I’ve been waiting so long to finish this that I hope the last step works and remote is operational.
Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks again
It’s all the same, only difference is connector
I’ll let you know when I power it up.
Sounds good!
It worked. I had no doubts…I used vesc tool motor wizard to set up vesc. Thanks for your help.
Any advice on tweaks to motor setup? (Dual 6375 and 12s4p). I dropped motor current max from 70 to 60. I’m not looking for speeds over 25mph-ish, rather have range and torque. 15t-40t at 1:2.5 ratio
What should battery max regen set at?
Short test ride and it’s pretty strong, especially compared to my other board.
Thanks again and have a great day
Is that 60a per motor?
um, i think that’s right
Yes. It carries my big ass up hills easily
Just make sure your battery max is set to 60a
I am currently working with a FSECS 4.12 and am looking for a ground to use with the UART connection to power and ground an arduino nano for the OS Davega…
Where is the ground? does " - " mean ground or that it is a dead pin?
This is my first build that with an esc that you can program. I got a flipsky fsesc 6.6 plus with aluminum case. I also have a vx2 remote and a build kit boards Voyager v2 remote. But can’t get either wired well enough to even register on the vesc tool.
