Finally buy a board officially from Acedeck and FedEx steals the package 😭

I swear I have the worst luck ever. 2022 March I bought a board through Tynee and the UPS driver went to the wrong address and let some random sign for my board without an ID or anything. The signature didn’t even look like my name.

Fast forward to today and Acedeck used FedEx as the carrier, the FedEx facility in Henderson tracker updated at 10:07am to say that they attempted delivery at 1:07pm to no answer. Bro it’s fucking 12:48pm as I type this out. I’ve been up all night since I do graveyard security so no ones been at my place. My roommate would’ve answered the door up until I got off work. Not a single person has come here to deliver this thing.

I’ve read nothing but horror stories about this fedex facility from the Google page. I’m requesting a refund from Acedeck since for $30 shipping protection, a $900 board doesn’t just go missing. Let’s see how much pushback they give me when this is my first board I’ve bought through them but my 3rd one of theirs I’ll be owning. I bought 2 previously used by others by like 100 miles and I’ve had nothing but problems from Acedeck, not gonna lie

Sign up for a FedEx account and install the app, you can track when the truck is nearby for most shipments and options to hold at your local FedEx store. You might need to pay a surcharge but if you’re working swing or graveyard, this is saving so much time.

I’ve done that but it truly feels like a waste when the system registers the package as missing 3 hours in the fucking future. Noone is responding to my calls and this repeatedly happens at this location until some packages are never found at all

I feel your pain brother. I lost a 2k package at one point. Hopefully it comes back around

This isn’t how the problem is fixed. This is treating the symptoms, not the cause, and also rewarding (gifting them data and more money) FedEx for being shitty, which leads to even more shittiness. ONLY if it costs them more to be shitty will they become less shitty.

FedEx has a job they are paid to do. If they don’t do it correctly, they can eat the loss. That’s how things improve. Also, on a side note, FedEx sucks donkey balls, ask your sellers not to use them (or USPS) if possible. But if they do anyway, it’s not your fault if you buy something and it’s never delivered. Tell the vendor that, and if they play games then contact your bank and report it as fraud. It’s up to the vendor to get their money back from FedEx, whom they chose to do business with in the first place.

I’ve personally had really good experiences with DHL and UPS and horrible experiences with FedEx and USPS. (DHL is really good)

If you reward them for a job done like shit, then it will only get worse, like giving a toddler candy every time they don’t want to eat vegetables. Then you actually become part of the problem in a weird way.

The issue was tracking the package and getting notifications, not the reliability of FedEx Ground, I’m just speaking from experience using their app is a bit faster instead of tracking off the site.

If you have so many issues with these delivery companies, I recommend to hold at the station, there’s no risk in delivery and you can pick up on your own time. This option is mostly free as I can remember from FedEx/UPS and there’s no excuse about wrong delivery as it’s at the station before loading to a truck.

So your solution is to give them candy, which means you want them to get worse. ā€œOh, don’t worry about doing your job, I will do part of it for youā€

They should have to send money back to your vendor for that, or it’s self-destructive.

Fedex Repeatedly refuses to do their job or deliver the board while actively lying with their portal magically traveling forward in time to claim that I wasn’t home when I was up all morning and lost out on sleeping time for my night shift job. 2 days of camping my front room when the portal repeatedly lies with acedeck blindly parroting what the HR team told them was ok. I’m not gonna sit here and watch them waste my $900 like that, especially with acedeck telling me ā€œThere there, just be patient and wait for the corrupt carrier to fuck up for 5 more daysā€ FOR WHAT?? Chase Claim went crazy for this one, ngl

As it turns out, Fedex in this city has a notorious and awful way of going about doing stuff, to the point that multiple people have lost packages or had them stole. Although the UI was trash and insisting that it could not find me, I just now received the board so now I have to cancel the claim and hope to get my honor back 1 day after freaking out so badly a few days prior

I’m definitely never trusting a bike rack ever again, that’s for sure. Now to make some money on this thing with doordash so I can hustle up some money for 125mm wheels and some sick stickers. This board is really nice out of the box
