Can confirm, my board is a switchblade that I usually run 150mm pneumies on with BN270 trucks and adjustable baseplates.
Due to split angle I’ve had to have only the front truck dropped through and the other top mounted.
I get mad heelbite with 150mm pneumies and even more with 200mm. I’ve even started to adjust my stance to compensate (ex. heel at edge of deck and toe off but pointed forward).
Moving the truck mounting points would resolve both of my issues.
And don’t get rid of the side cutouts on the dropthrough, they’re perfect for the bolt for adjustable trucks
Maybe we need a combination of the Switchblade, Switch, and Evo? Angled tail with a big drop for acceleration, and a less agressive drop up front with the nose level with the ground?
Good news and bad news. And this will be my last update here unfortunately.
People were into the idea of the esk8 specific deck, though as i thought it’ll likely be at least 2024 before it’s released as they want to engineer a new shape, lots of tests etc.
Bad news is due to the global skate market contracting massively after the bumper last few years, they’re layer off a lot staff. Including me. So that’s not great. I get why they need to, they’ve given us all way more notive than they needed to and we’re all getting great references and whatnot but it still sucks.
So good luck with the esk8 future. I look forward to seeing if Landyachtz ever brings out this mythical deck.
He sure did! Named it the Semendeed and I’m one of about 7 (I think) happy owners.
If you type ‘semendeed’ into search function you’ll get a bunch of threads and builds on this deck. Unfortunately the deck press and molds were moved onto Flowstate esk8 in Australia.
