We should send them a board

I think it would be awesome if the forum built a board for LY to entice them into electrics lol. Tempt them with something they’ll love.

I think that it would be nice to have an esk8 specific Evo deck(s). I think it would be beneficial to make a slightly larger one (42-44), but it would also be awesome to have a version that is a lot lighter for small commuters. The possibility of a flexible one also perks my ears a bit.

Or a prawn.

Or a yabbie

It’s a lobster. Which is a mighty crab.

@its.ibbo a common issue for esk8 is that we run big wheels and run into wheelbite issues. We frequently address this by drilling new truck holes to push wheelbases farther apart. The cutouts here on the switchblade are terrible for esk8 because it cripples our ability to drill new truck mounting holes.

My ideal LY board would be a 42” switchblade with truck holes close to the end of the board (like a hummie).

Or how about bigger cutouts for the wheels? Then we wouldn’t have to move the mounting holes,

Or a longer mount point

NO.

That would decrease the standing area on the deck. Those corners are part of what makes that deck so good

I think more angle on the tips could give more wheel clearance withhout impacting on the standing Platform and still less afecting durability than longer lever

100% agreed. I also have an Earthwing Supermodel drop down, which is kinda similar (just not drop through). The cutouts on it are bigger, therefore I can’t comfortably place my feet on the drop, and I don’t like it nearly as much as I like my switchblade

Second this…

Here’s pic of my Switchblade on 3-links with TB 110. A little more angle would definitely help. Motor plates in the rear act like a dead stop and prevent board from leaning over enough to get wheel bite at the front wheels. Not the best solution, but “works”.

Weird, I run TB110 on my switchblade but with BN270 trucks and I don’t have anywhere near that kind of wheelbite.

I love the switchblade so much, my only issue is with 150mm+ wheels I get a bit of heelbite if I don’t keep my rear foot straight or centered

The current design also has issues with motor clearance when rear mounting. Motors are likely to hit the deck. Moving the mounting holes to the ends of the deck solves that issue.

Also, like @rusins mentioned, cutting out standing platform is not good.

3-links are very different than BN270, so maybe wheel bite is unique to me.

Just run the new juma 300/400’s. Problem solved? Maybe. Lol.
