sharing this vid, i found it interesting. Interesting charts / ranges on charge speeds vs cycle counts, other factors that reduce cycle counts temp ranges, etc.

Recent research show that the first cycle charge should be as high as possible. More lithium binds with the Anode/cathode and contributes to both better conductivity and cycle life of the cell.

Havn’t looked at the videos but guessing the function of temperature is key.

I saw something like that but it also said first charging is done at the factory.

@tuckjohn shared this video with me a couple of weeks ago that I found interesting. It showcases a cross-section of a li-ion battery being charged at different currents that slowly ramp up. You can see how quickly the dendrite layer forms from going above their rating.
