My only thought is in regards to the battery location. I am used to seeing top mount batteries for offroading or extra water ingress protection, so my only doubt is to the durability generally.
We’ll find out during the southern hemisphere summer then, I guess (Dec - Feb).
Promo look nice. So Iam realy interested on weight, max speed and max real range . But now is clear see where development is focusing on eskate. Question is how many people will buy it. Lot of mtb riders or riders who ride 8” big decks are DIY builders. And evolve is not one from the cheapeas.
I’d genuinely buy one of these as a gift to someone, pretty it up with some polyurethane drum bushings and have that person learn with me, BUT… as long as the only option for a remote is that stupid dual trigger thing, it ain’t happening
I contemplated a dual trigger remote for ease of use with gloves… anyone have better recs? I like trigger style but my finger gets stuck:rofl:
Maytech or flipsky vx3 remotes are both similar form factor. Easy to use with gloves on and no trigger to get your finger caught in.
It’s ugly, but I bet that lunch box baby has fantastic flex and is mega fun to carve on
Ah darn… just bought a vx1. When it breaks ill be sure to check those out! Thanks.
Dual trigger is awesome, it’s the best remote type. The Evolve one is fairly small though so I could see why some people don’t like it
Even if some folks think it’s the best type, choice is important. Nobody should be locked to a trigger, a scroll wheel, or a dual trigger. Having control of the vehicle is paramount and you should use the control you feel most comfortable with, not the control that one vendor just happens to sell.
Lol ya that’s never gonna happen from a prebuilt mfg (hoyt doesn’t count because it’s basically a prebuilt diy in terms of electronics)
Hasn’t happened at Hoyt either
No but since they use vesc you can use whatever controller you want, evolve’s is fully locked down like everyone else… (I guess lacroix you could change it too, but they’re dead now so)
Although… considering the remote options we have right now that are considered reliable, not really sure what the huge benefit is lol
I prefer to control my land-based locomotion via earthbending (hung gar or mantis style kung fu).
What about the non-land-based locomotion?
Water bending and air bending duh
