Evolve gtx battery bypassing bms to use vesc

Hey there,

Just wondering if either of you finished this upgrade. I decided to upgrade my evolve carbon GT to a flipsky 4.20 dual as well as new BMS and remote( I’ve already done the battery) I was hoping it would be a little more straight forward, did you know of any wiring diagram at all that could help me out?
Cheers,

What bms, what remote, and what battery did you upgrade too?

I got the vx2 remote, 10s5p battery and I order the BMS of the guys that sold me the rest of the parts but don’t actually know what brand it is but pic is attached.

Or isn’t haha

Thanks for that mate, Uploading: A0F713CC-A48C-42C8-8FC4-EE2E640A00FC.png…

That’s not a good BMS to use. You want one that has balancing capabilities.

Finally let me post the pic of my BMS

Ah really, that’s the one I was sold. Could you point me in the direction of one that balances?

Try this one

Post a photo of the other side of your BMS. I am 90% sure it doesn’t balance, but just to be sure

Thanks mate, I’ll take a look :+1:t3:

It might have balancing. Do you know which BMS that is?

Yeah all good mate, I asked the guy and he said it has balancing :+1:t3: Gonna try install it all on the week end.

I expected the bottom to be mostly bare.

All good mate, these look like balancing bleed resistors :ok_hand: (circled)

I found it, it looks like it does not have balancing.

I would not use this BMS.
