evolve bamboo gen 2, giving a new life to it

Hello guys, as my first post, I would like to share my 3rd build. This one i took special care in the making…

I found this sad board laying around in the new company I had started working at. It was said that the board was laying for 4 years without anyone touching it (she had no remote, nor belts).

Decided to scrap out the old battery and made a new pack of molicels, 10S2P, and a small VESC 75/300 to drive that little 250W brushless motor.

Loading a custom firmware for it so it would be compatible with the hand controller being used by the company heheh

This is my old skateboard, he was collecting dust in Brazil for 2 years.

then i disassembled it and brought it back to Sweden with me

It was time for a major upgrade on that old gen 2 hahaha

bought just the “Struts” and motor mounts from Evolve’s website, they were perfectly compatile with the Gen2 trucks

They look amazing

Got the front struts also

changed the old aluminium pulleys for steel ones

My old hand controller wasn’t cutting anymore so i decided to develop my own

it was also a mess to fit everything together in the original evolve case

After some rides i casually decided to upgrade the battery

so i went from 10S2P to 10S4P 30Q

I used Jaibaida bms from aliexpress, its pretty neat

My hand controller was also almost being finished, (thats a project apart, I will make another post about it in the future)

So i decided to change the wheels

to Onsra 115mm rubber wheels

then the final touch was painting the motors gold

looking neat

It was a really fun ride with it, now my hand controller is super reliable and the UI is looking quite good also

Really nice journey man. Interested on the remote, whenever you have more news about it.

Great work reviving the old board! The deck still looks good after all these years. Can’t wait to hear about your controller though, we desperately need more VESC compatible remotes with live telemetry display!!!
