Creating new thread for 2026 races, continuing from the old one
xErace system is now mature enough to give us confidence. So next year we plan to capitalize on that and organize even more events and bring it to larger European audience. Mostly in locations we know communities exist to motivate them joining the complete tour. Especially expanding to the western part where we were missing enough races.
9 races planned, 4 best count to the championships points.
Currently we are gathering interest for the locations and plan to finalize the calendar before start of next year.
Very important to say that the tour is now very much community-expanded. We are filtering some possible locations and feed it to our local members or they come up with possible locations themselves. Then we simply help with finalizing the details and let the local leaders to secure the spot. And make everything ready to arrive with our circus
We already did it second year with @Xcs in France and last year with @Dinnye in Hungary with Electro Hussars coop. Also coorganized Warsaw with suuto, but that one was not successful yet.
Now we are adding Italy, Germany and Austria using the same pattern. Hope that we will add Greece in the future with @dimos15 ;o)
Still working on finalizing the calendar (its excruciatingly painful work :-D), but we already have 20 days until our first race of new season. Looking forward to welcoming some new riders, exploring even more local communities and hoping all the updates done over the winter will bring even more fun.
We started this season in April at indoor track Wuppertal. Great grippy track, one of the faster indoor races. After long time we got some racers from Netherlands and Belgium and saw more people join from the German community that we didnt know before. There was a great fight for OPEN win between @Xcs and @Dinnye and hopefully it was a hint of the things to come this season.
Another race was Pardubice last month. A classic track with history since 2020 and 8 races, where we have over 200 riders with times now so a great benchmark track. Again insanely close result in the OPEN category which seems to be running for interesting battles this year.
@Dinnye getting second win and first proof on a classical track so definitelly must have felt good. Strong result with improving all-time record on a track that was slowed down since last year. @Esk8Cave getting podium after crash shortly before the race weekend. Getting his body and board to the working conditions just in time, even though as a defending champion he will probably want more next time. @DINA_KATCH arrived on the race day and assembled two boards, scored a podium in the 2WD category with last minute fight for the 2nd place. Thanks for the visit!
Pardubice in 2021 was the first time we got a real esk8 star @davidbonde in the house and its great he returned after long time. Still needs to tune the v6 a bit, so hopefully he got some good data.
Pardubice is a great base with core community and we plan to make it the flagship international race for next year, with extra Prague activities.
Now off to Montrevel, our current updated plan is having 10 races and it starts to feel like a real race season calendar. Also by the fact that I always need to be one step ahead and prepare next batch of races to get them ready before registration opens But I am definitelly enjoying that its possible to do this.
xErace France. Is good to see Esk8 times over EUC.
P-1 Congrats to @davidpilny on a new PEV track record 48.18
(SRB V-5)
P-2 @Dinnye 48.66
(DIY Big wheel duality)
P-3 Special mention and welcome to esk8 podium Gael Duvert 51.63
(DIY canard spherical truck)
After two years we returned to one of our fastest technical tracks in the calendar. And also one of the longest. Battling this time also with extreme heat and more cracks in the asphalt. Closest fight for the win was in the OPEN 2WD this time. We had a bit of time pressure so in the end finished only 5 races and kept best of two for the opposite direction. The practice was also very short for the second direction so for lot of people the first race was the real practice.
@davidpilny achieved a back-to-back win and completes 3 races with 3 different winners in OPEN so the season championship is getting even more interesting. @Dinnye kept the fight going but heat defeated him physically and was not quite in touch for the opposite direction. @Gael returned with upgraded board and showed a great speed. Two years ago
@Xcs fight ended before the race even began with the board battery burning down and preventing him to try continue in the great result from Wuppertal.
In OPEN we managed to break the seemingly untouchable EUC track records and overall improved the eskate times massively. Even more so for the 3-lap records where both @Dinnye and @davidpilny got to the top of the historical list with nice gap.
Great vibes by the whole French group and it was definitelly a pleasure to be back.
Thanks Definitelly requires some obsession to bear through the pain But it wouldnt exist if we didnt love it as its goes for the other crews in all over the world for sure
