Oh we know the people the own it too.
Which is the weird part
But if I wanted to host a race and people were interested we could use the Herhsey Park parking lot. (Dad knows the CEO of Hershey Entertainment) and is willing to help us get a day to use it.
@jack.luis the more "crews"we get going the better. We need to start grassroots seeds all around the country to get this thing moving. You have to have local races to get people interested and fired up to spend big money on a cross country trip for a mega race.
I will have one more event this January. Make it two hours on the track. One hour free ride and one hour with time trials. Just one rider on the track at the time. This way we mostly compete against one self to beat one selfs time. So no direct racing. But we will have the best time of the day. Hope this format can be a good in between. Only thing is we need to be 12 to make it happen. Until now we have been six when we were most.
The thing with the system you link to is that you can only be one on the track at the time. When this is the case you can safe a lot of money using the “lap tracker” app. Its easy setup and only cost a buck or two. It needs to be used on the lap kind of track where start and finish is the same place.
If we want a system that can handle multiple people on the track at the time it gets quite expensive and a bit cumbersome.
As I am most alone on my track I use the lap tracker app. Works pretty good.
I have been looking on to using the system they have already on the track. But I need a transducer, and they are expensive. Like $400 for one transducer to the system they are using.
I was looking for lap timing setups for rc cars and drones. Even that stuff is expensive. Real race timing equipent (rf) is simply out of reach due to cost.
