ESK8 Racing needs our help to grow

One important thing for us is that we are by no chance able to get just eskate race. The number of people would be still too low. So we are trying to bring all PEVs in, currently also playing with stronger e-scooters. The advantage is especially for foreign groups is that a lot of times (even here), the group that rides together has all different PEVs (OW, EUC, eskate) so if there is category for everyone its a chance for them to show up as a group, share the ride etc. and generally just make it a group trip which is a win-win.

I don’t know if y’all have done it yet. But the relay we did with mixed PEVs at AVS was a ton of fun.

Yeah it really cant be overstated how forgiving a track like AVS is. Yes, its size makes it a higher speed track. But the lane width, lack of barriers, and ample run-out space make wheel to wheel racing much safer and more competitive (in my opinion) than a crampt narrow track with barriers like Esk8Con.

It’s great that both tracks exist for esk8 racing. I never thought I’d enjoy the esk8con track as much as I did. I know they’re moving to a bigger location next year so they can have both a demo and race track, but hopefully they keep a similar setup for racing with just a bit more room/places for passing.

This is pretty cool to see. Picking up pace around the world!

The original ERL in Perth Australia have been working on something very similar for a long time. The funding unfortunately isn’t there to get the production complete in a timely manner but there’s some really cool stuff coming out in the months to come.

I’ve been lucky enough to view the teaser and it’s pretty awesome. I wish it would be released right now but it’s not my call.
