“The first mass produced motorized skateboards were manufactured by MotoBoard in 1975. They used two stroke motors which required gasoline to get them going.”
No idea who did it DIY first.
It was Louie Finkle
I just hope it is not boosted Jeff

Lemme find the article I read not so long ago

We can trace the genesis of the jetski, and the windsurfer… the gawd of eskate must be recognized…
hahaaha Hinkle and Finkle I imagine them getting high on a wall in Berkeley and falling off
Cool, 22mph that is not half bad did not see the range tho.
I imagine range hugely depended on the temperature outside.
I got $5 bux they were using acid!
Yep and batteries too.
It is fun but the drivers are out to kill you and most of the roads are shit. Unfortunately I can’t commute with mine yet as I am heavy and I live up a hill but I hope it will change once I get more batteries to power a dual motor with proper motors and gearing. Than I will be able to go further and there are places I am sure will be nice on an eboard.
Goal is an eMTB to go il the mountain on other islands.
Also, only other esk8 I saw here are Koolwheel sold at carrefour (think Walmart but lame) for 1000$.
