I have been playing with the idea of making my own esk8 hubs, not for a board but for my esk8 Gokart. A stock goped goquad comes with plastic rims and hard rubber 6 inch tires. I currently have billet rims that are better for drifting it has a ring that prevents the tire from ripping off the rim. The why is because I would like a smoother ride for my gokart, I want to use 175mm tires in exchange. I have design and 3d printing background but I want to learn from your mistakes. I have seen some people have made gears, pulleys and hubs from 3d printed material. What did you guys use? How long did it last ? I saw some esk8 hubs are made from nylon 6, I would assume they made by injection molding , but I would like to try 3d printing nylon 6. Here are a few pictures of my esk8 gokart and a stock goquad with plastic rims.

What axles do you have now? Is there a reason you can get some Rockstar IIs and 7" wheels?
