Mike is humble? I know he’s described himself as well-hung, manly, impressively hirsute, and firm of buttock, but never humble.

Glad someone finally recognized my extremely giving and many nature

I went to a eskate house with only a unicycle

I was so ‘lazy’ that instead of soldering the right connectors onto the (-) of my charger I’ve just been using this alligator clip connected to the frayed wire ends of the charger and then pushing the other end into my charge ports. It was originally an attachment for my multimeter.

It’s been like that for over a year, I just soldered on the correct bullet to my charger.

That sounds really not whiskey-proof.

I’d blow that up the first time I skated home from the bar and plugged my board in.

Dont let it get you down, we cant all be perfect like our boy Jason Potter. We all have those days.

It actually can’t be plugged in backwards unless you try really hard. I setup all my boards this way since the start.

Positive wire goes to a xt90s( the resistor side) and negative wire goes to a 4.5mm bullet mounted next to it.

This way I can use a loop key for a power switch, and still only have two ports on the exterior of the board. And it’s virtually impossible to plug in backwards

Edit: ugly drawing

I just steered someone away from a backfire/meepo and convinced them to get a @BuildKitBoards kit instead.

Oh how I’ve doomed their wallet. They will be deep in a DIY rabbit hole in no time :upside_down_face:

This one time I picked up the wrong xt90(terminals not isolated) to plug into a connector I was soldering to live battery pack. While soldering the connectors slipped in clamp(crescent wrench lying on its side) and made contact with the wrench causing a hard short. Blew up an xt90 that day

Very much more cautious now. Don’t squeeze board work in between overtime shifts.

Today I am building a fairly gigantic battery and I’m not going to round a single corner of nickel.

Fight me.

I did a major overhaul of my board- new deck, enclosure, trucks etc. Rode it exactly once.
Now I’m finishing up the third overhaul of the same kind, how many times have I ridden it? Once.
