i recently got an aeboard k1 cheetah (apt name as it quickly broke lol).
It felt amazing for an hour then the brakes cut out. It wasnt fully charged but since then it feels like its in mode three brake/acceleration not 4 and occasionally the brakes almost cut out completely.
They sent a replacement esc that doesnt fit.
I noticed the capacitor is crushed a little.
It says 3m2046 which i didnt find yet but can i upgrade this at all? Could this cause these issues and be helped by a larger capacitor?
My meepo brakes cut out too and think im a bit heavy/fast and overloading something but that was after 1500 miles.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Ps its got 14s4p 25r cells and would consider a better esc. Hole is about 14x10cm
I have two escs both capacitors say 63v 470uf but they also have different model numbers and look slightly different size. Thats why i thought maybe i should try and get exactly what it says or go better. Whatever better is lol
I was thinking that but all the hall wires have been chopped and mixed up and resoldered. Im worried ill buy some nice vesc and it wont run without lots of time and maybe blowing it.
Unless vesc’s have some sort of auto detect. I guess nothing is going to be plug and play
Can always run sensorless.
Also there is a wonderful thread somewhere on here with all kinds of schematics and wiring diagrams, if you can find what you’re running there, it should tell you the proper order for the hall sensors.
Better would probably mean a name brand and maybe a larger cap as a larger input cap will provide more protection to the circuit. You can look up which brands people like more or less, but really any 63 V 470 uF cap off of Digikey, mouser, etc. would be fine as long as you put it in the right way. I wouldn’t worry about the part number at all. As far as a dented cap if it didn’t blow up immediately IDK how dangerous it is. A dent could cause an internal short, but that should just blow things up I think.
Ok cheers. It kind of felt like it semi blew. Like after the first brake fail everything was half power. Ill look some capacitors up with those numbers
