hey @ENNOID, I downloaded the file for the 3D print case for the SS-15/18 but it seems to be a model with the compleat bms inside. Is that intended?
I’m a CAD noob so I have no idea if I can get just the case from this file?
Yes it was intended. I don’t know which CAD software you are using, but most of them will show all different component in the tree and can be opened separately from there.
I have freeCAD.
The tree on the side only has a single object I can’t open further.
Freecad is still a bit features limited…
You should give fusion 360 a try. There is a non commercial free version available and it should work better with .step files. I don’t use fusion 360 either, but I saw very positive reviews on the web about it.
I actually had f360 but when I started it told me it’s no longer free and I have to subscribe. I couldn’t even import the file.
It’s still free you just have to have the right license
I reinstalled F360 and now it gave me the options to import a local file. Problem solved I guess.
Thanks Jesus, that confirm what I thougth.
I was not sure, but I do remember of being able to open the file with freecad and see all components on the tree, but wasn’t 100% sure.
Probably it simply not work with old versions of freecad.
Will now test those XLITE soon…very compact, charge only, up to 24S BMS, CAN bus compatible with VESC.
What a cutey
great news. I see USB C it is
Looks good, you finally made it.
I don’t see charging cable, I guess it is simply not visible on the picture…
yes, the charging cables are not connected because they are already in the battery box.
I just put the top plate on for the pic.
I’ll take like, 5, please.
Blockquote I’ll take like, 5, please.
Give me a few weeks. There are still some issue with VESC CAN & tool app. Might need to use a custom VESC tool build until the final firmware & pull request gets approved by vedder in the official VESC build.
I’ll take 2! Maybe 3 if they wont be in stock long, like the Flexi
The flexibms still have an issue with sourcing their specific STM32. They are simply not available anywhere.
Hopefully the STM32 IC used by VESC & EBMS are still available, but quite more expensive than previously. So, they should stay available. Those can’t be changed because the whole firmware code is built around them. I also moved away from all other problematic/BO parts. This took some time to validate the changes, but was worth it.
