Can someone tell me if it’s my minimal soldering skills or my Weller that are making this job difficult?
Not familiar with the weller, it’s quite possible it’s not getting hot enough. Have you tried putting flux on the wires to help?
I was using a piece of firebrick as my base and it was drawing too much heat. Thanks!

what kind of solder are you using? get some 63/37 leaded solder dude that shit changed my life.

It pretty fine with a flux core. The tube it came in is long gone.
