Easy cooling with blower fan

Anyone done this? I’m looking for a resource to figure what amount of blades and what shape blades would be best for what rpm. Or more so looking for someone already familiar with software

@vap I don’t see any of ur doings related to this on ur page. Any advice? Can you do simulations?
I have a big 140mm outside diameter stator I’m wanting to design for. I plan to smother it in temp sensors to do comparisons of different nylon printed versions but rather start on a lead. The little I get from Alexa is for a single rpm and not variable as would be the case with a vehicle.

I’m guessing 4 fins with a lot of curvature and spinning in the same direction as the wheel

I haven’t done any simulations. I made something similar to what @Trampa is doing for their motors, but added some curve (curved centrifugal fan).

I haven’t done any A/B tests. So it’s very unscientific. Normally my motors run quite cool, only during recent heat wave I’ve managed to get them too hot to hold.

Can you post link to the motor? How does it look from the other side?

The motor side I posted is both the air inlet (hollow shaft) and the outlet (the four kidney shapes). I haven’t added a fan design yet but figured those four kidney slots would be a good more central area for the fan to work with. The goal is to pull in the shaft, into the motor, and across the airgap, and back out the same side

It’s a hub motor design with a fixed shaft.
